About Us

​Hello, we are Mike and Mandy. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and our journey. We met by chance through a mutual friend and were almost immediately laughing together. We had an instant connection that felt so familiar like we had known each other for years. Within a month we were inseparable and have been for the last 15 years. ​We grew close so quickly because it felt safe to just be ourselves. We shared a passion for our faith, our family, and our love for socializing with our great friends. Mandy introduced me to her bulldog puppy Fritz and I became a bulldog dad for life! Our relationship grew stronger, and we became closer while building on our faith. We became engaged two years after we met and married one year later at a historic beach hotel where five women in Mandy’s family had been married over the generations. ​We decided to focus our first year or two in marriage on growing together as partners in our relationship, faith, and finances. We enjoyed traveling with each other and at times with friends and family. We spent hours a day discussing history, society, and work. We felt another level of closeness and trust that gave us the confidence to start a family. Unfortunately, after years of trying, many doctors’ visits or the only option was IVF and the odds were not good. We prayed and discussed our next step for weeks. We both felt that God was calling us to another path. We overwhelmingly felt that he wanted us to adopt.
